Christmas Day Swim

Helping Hands and Hooves organizes a Christmas Day Swim at 11am for locals to celebrate the day with a chance to give back to a great cause. HHH has been organizing this fundraiser for 10 years now and through donations and purchases of a Christmas Swim t-shirts has raised enough to pay for all of its spring lessons. We consistently have groups ranging from 30-90 people with just as many onlookers cheering them on. The age range of the participants has been from 5 – 80 years old. There are always complementary warm drinks on the way out and lots of reminiscing and laughter! Please consider joining what has now become a tradition in the tri-town for residents and visitors!

Harbor Days Hair Braiding

Helping Hands and Hooves has participated in Harbor Days for the last 6 years. The volunteers braid hair and then wrap the braid in colorful string. This is often something that kids get when they visit Florida or the Caribbean. Harbor Days provides the opportunity to enjoy this in the heart of Mattapoisett village. Harbor Days is sponsored by the Lions Club and the date is usually in August. HHH has the most incredible volunteers who dedicate a few hours to help raise money for lessons during the fall months for adults with disabilities. It is a great event and brings a lot of smiles to children and adults alike!
